Form 1120 Schedule D is a form used by corporations to figure the gain or loss from transactions reported on Form 8949. It is also used to report gain from forms like Form 6252 or Part I of Form 4797, or loss from Form 8824. It can also report certain transactions that the corporation does not have to report on Form 8949 and capital gain distributions not directly reported on Form 1120.
