Until when can I renew my MA drivers license if it has expired?
Your license can be renewed up to 2 years after its expiration. If it has already expired for more than 2 years, then you will have to take a learner’s permit exam and road test.
Can I renew my MA drivers license if I have unpaid fines?
No, you cannot renew your license if you have outstanding fines or excise taxes. To make sure that you can renew your license, check the status of your driver’s license to see if you have any unpaid fines or excise taxes.
For parking/traffic tickets or excise taxes, you need to show a receipt that they have already been paid. You may pay your traffic tickets here. For violations regarding EZ-Pass MA, you may call customer service at (877) 627-7745 to pay your violations.
Can I renew my MA drivers license if it was suspended or revoked?
No, you are not eligible for license renewal if it has been suspended or revoked.
How much are the fees for renewal?
The license renewal fees are as follows:
